When I run slideshow in powerpoint 2007 the slide show takes a long time to
start. It also takes a long time to end the slide show or when I right click
in the middle. This happens even for slideshow that has one slide with no
graphics or any features.

Thanks, Luc. My problem is only when I start the slide show. Starting the
powerpoint is ok. Thanks for your help anyway.

Try the suggestions on that page in any case. If it'll help, I can change the
title to include "slow slide show startup" <g>
