From: Peter James on 23 Apr 2008 02:38 I normally use MacSoup to read news, but I am having to use Hogwasher, which I don't like very much. When I open MacSoup and connect to the News Server MacSoup apparently scans down the list of newsgroups within the MacSoup settings box and then closes down without apparently downloading any news. The news group reader page is set to "Unread" "Bodies and headers" and "Group threads" and they show no unread messages. I've checked the MacSoup preferences and they all seem very normal. It's not a problem with the news server as Hogwasher will down load any news happily. I'm attempting to post this with Hogwasher just to prove to myself that the news reader is connecting to the server OK. Using a iMac G5 Power PC and MacSoup v2.8. Peter

Your newsserver may have reset its numbering. Add the groups to your list a second time and see what shows up. -- Mvh./Regards, Niels Jrgen Kruse, Vanlse, Denmark
