From: Mike Rausch on 15 Apr 2008 15:58 I have the following configuration: Dell Laptop XP Pro, fully service packed Exchange 2003 system, fully service packed Outlook 2007 Activesync 4.5 HTC 8900 Cell Phone running Windows Mobile 6.0 and synced to Exchange 2003 via Exchange Activesync When we try to sync the 8900 via a cable (to sync the notes, and we have a lot - about 660 of them), the sync stops about 80 notes into the sync with the following error "The program [c:\program files\.....wcesmgr.exe /onconnect caused a problem and is going to close. Would you like to save a dump file?" Would appreciate any one's help with this matter. Thanks, Mike
From: "Jon Westfall MVP>" on 16 Apr 2008 00:26 I would suspect, unfortunately that you've hit a prime example of a sync problem. Most likely the device database just can't hold that many notes (Menneisyys may have more on that). Try perhaps moving them over in small chunks to see if that helps. Otherwise consider moving those notes into some other form (e.g. word documents) Jon. -------- Jon Westfall MVP - Windows Mobile Contributing Editor, Pocket PC Thoughts pocketpcthoughts.com jonwestfall.com "Mike Rausch" <MikeRausch(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2D83FB24-A0C6-4221-B9C7-77E346F8DB7B(a)microsoft.com... >I have the following configuration: > Dell Laptop > XP Pro, fully service packed > Exchange 2003 system, fully service packed > Outlook 2007 > Activesync 4.5 > HTC 8900 Cell Phone running Windows Mobile 6.0 and synced to Exchange 2003 > via Exchange Activesync > > When we try to sync the 8900 via a cable (to sync the notes, and we have a > lot - about 660 of them), the sync stops about 80 notes into the sync with > the following error > "The program [c:\program files\.....wcesmgr.exe /onconnect caused a > problem > and is going to close.
