From: Kevin K on 7 Apr 2008 08:21 I had an extra AMD Athlon 4200+ dual core and intalled it in my backup system which previously had an AMD Athlon 3500+ single core. This is on a system with Windows XP Pro SP2, updated with all udates. I also installed the AMD dual core drivers. The bios recognizes the new dual core correctly. Also in Windows, the dual core shows up correctly in Device Manager. The problem is the dual core doesn't show up in AMD's Power Monitor or in Sonar 7. The Power Monitor says there is a problem with the Bios or Windows. In Sonar 7 the Multiprocessor check box is greyed out. Note: I did not reinstall Windows. Windows was initially installed with the single processor and if possible, I'd like to not have to reinstall Windows. Any idea's Thanks Kevin K
