Yea, my system ain't as strong as yours, but I've always had pretty good
luck with my AMD systems. My tech swears by them.

Poly,

I'm still running Sonar (5) on the same AMD 1000 machine that I've had for
about 5 years now. Had a recording session last night, and it worked great.
I am planning on upgrading to a quadcore RSN though so I can get lower
latency.

I have an AMD 3800+ x2. Somephin like dat.
The thing is blazing fast. Even my tech is amazed at the speed of this
thing.
As far as getting the music out of it: The computer don't really matter. I'd
still be getting music out of something whether it be a reel to reel or a
portastudio :)

And that's the way it's suppose to be. It works. Plain and simple.
