From: SAM on 8 Jun 2008 01:03 --> Oups! I just sent before by error the french version of this message on this forum. Soory! <-- Hi, I have a Fujitsu 4220 Tablet PC since one month with a high resolution screen (1400x1050). Last update of drivers is done. When I rotate my screen, the resolution is 1400x1050, the resolution downsize to 1280x768, the screen shrink from 12" to may be 8", proportions switch from "full screen" to "center screen" option. If I rotate back the screen, the screen rotate, but there is no changes of size and resolution of the screen. What can be the problem? If some of you have any idea, I will be very interested. I run Vista SP1, 4 Gig of RAM, graphic parameters are: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile Report Report Date: 06/07/2008 Report Time [hr:mm:ss]: 18:42:13 Driver Version: 7.14.10.1244 Operating System: Windows Vista (TM) Business* , Service Pack 1 (6.0.6001) Default Language: French DirectX* Version: 10.0 Physical Memory: 3317 MB Minimum Graphics Memory: 8 MB Maximum Graphics Memory: 358 MB Graphics Memory in Use: 152 MB Processor: x86 family 6 Model 15 Stepping 11 Processor Speed: 2194 MHZ Vendor ID: 8086 Device ID: 2A02 Device Revision: 03 * Accelerator Information * Accelerator in Use: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family Video BIOS: 1436 Current Graphics Mode: 1280 x 768 True Color (60 Hz) * Devices Connected to the Graphics Accelerator * Active Notebook Displays: 1 * Notebook * Monitor Name: Moniteur Plug-and-Play gnrique Display Type: Digital Gamma Value: 3,54 DDC2 Protocol: Supported Maximum Image Size: Horizontal: Not Available Vertical: Not Available Monitor Supported Modes: 1400 x 1050 (60 Hz) Display Power Management Support: Standby Mode: Not Supported Suspend Mode: Not Supported Active Off Mode: Supported * SDVO Encoder Report * ** Encoder 1 ** Vendor ID: Chrontel Device ID: 67 Device Revision: 0 Major Version: 1 Minor Version: 1

What can be the problem? << >> I run Vista SP1 << First, I don't have vista and have seen that there are some problems with the graphics utils under vista... that said, on the XP, this works... controlpanel/graphics utility. The intel graphics utility then should have a "display settings" tab, which includes the current resolution. Assuming that works, use the "fujitsu tablet controls" and "save current profile" which I _think_ will preserve it for future switches. fwiw, while the graphics utility does set the resolution I have noticed that it does _not_ preserve the resolution setting even if you save it in a scheme, but the profile settings apparently does save it. From: SAM on 9 Jun 2008 00:25 Thanks for your answer! I saved profile like you explain but again, when I rotate the screen, the image reduce from 12" to 8" and full screen option is not preserved. Any other idea please? Thank again for your time. _________________________ "Beverly Howard [Ms-MVP/MobileDev]" <BevNoSpamBevHoward.com> a crit dans le message de news:%23iCp36byIHA.4376(a)TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > >> When I rotate my screen, the resolution is 1400x1050, the resolution > downsize to 1280x768, the screen shrink from 12" to may be 8", proportions > switch from "full screen" to "center screen" option. Yes. Here are the steps: Test 1: Beginning with my screen at 1400x1050 resolution in landscape mode, proportion to full screen, stylet calibrated and profil saved: 1) I rotate the screen in portrait mode (90 degrees). Then the screen downsize to 768X1280, screen shrink to 8", and proportion to center mode. Also the stylet is no more calibrate. 2) I rotate back the screen to landscape mode. Then the screen come back to 1400x1050 resolution, the screen at 12", stylet is calibrate, but parameter stay to center mode. Test 2: Screen at 768x1280 resolution in landscape mode, proportion to full screen, stylet calibrated and profil saved: 1) I rotate the screen in portrait mode. Then the screen stay at 1280X768, but screen shrink to 8", and proportion to center mode. Also the stylet is no more calibrate. 2) I rotate back the screen to landscape mode. Then the screen stay to 768x1280 resolution, the screen come back to 12", stylet is calibrate and parameter come back to full mode. Test 3: Screen at 1400x1050 resolution in landscape mode, proportion to full screen, stylet calibrated and profil not saved since test 2: 1) I rotate the screen in portrait mode. Then the screen downsize to 1280X768, screen at 8", and proportion to center mode. Also the stylet is no more calibrate. 2) I rotate back the screen to landscape mode. Then the screen stay to 768x1280 resolution, the screen come back to 12", stylet is calibrate and parameter come back to full mode. Every time, I come back from portrait mode to landscape mode, the windows of MS Word (Office 2007), which was full screen, downsize and buttons to reduce or get full screen become unsteady. What do you think of that? ____________________________ "Beverly Howard [Ms-MVP/MobileDev]" <BevNoSpamBevHoward.com> a crit dans le message de news:u5MZnbjyIHA.2360(a)TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > >> when I rotate the screen, the image reduce from 12" to 8" << > > Are you able to reset the resolution to the correct value after you rotate > using the graphics utility? > > exact steps of what works and what doesn't would be appreciated. > > Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] > |
