From: David on 8 Jul 2008 23:40 I am having problems backing up Outlook 2007. I continually receive a message, CANNOT COPY OUTLOOK: THE PROCESS CANNOT ACCESS THE FILE BECAUSE ANOTHER PROCESS HAS LOCKED A PORTION OF THE FILE. I have searched Microsoft for a solution to this problem but can't find any information on this error message.
From: Hal Hostetler [MVP P/I] on 9 Jul 2008 18:09 Outlook must be closed if you wish to make a copy of the Data file (.PST). If you are closing Outlook, it may not be exiting properly: http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/outlookdoesntclose.htm Outlook Doesn't Close Hal -- Hal Hostetler, CPBE -- hhh(a)kvoa.com Senior Engineer/MIS -- MS MVP-Print/Imaging -- WA7BGX http://www.kvoa.com -- "When News breaks, we fix it!"
