Did a new driver solve the problem? We're having the same thing with a new
Toshiba Portege tablet PC (Wacom technology) in PowerPoint 2007. It doesn't
happen in any other program, and it doesn't happen in PowerPoint 2003.

I am glad to know that I am not the only person having this issue!!

I downloaded the latest driver, but still had the same problem. I am not
sure I deleted the old driver though and so there may be a conflict. That was
my reason for the last post asking if anybody could tell me how to delete the
old driver and install the new one properly.

Let me know if you manage to solve this problem and I will do the same.
Thanks for contacting me!!

I called Toshiba support and they said it's a known issue with PowerPoint
2007, a software problem, and we need to contact Microsoft. We're at a
university with a site license for Office, so now I'm trying to find out the
proper channels to do that.

In my own experimenting, I found that if you write s-l-o-w-l-y and
d-e-l-i-b-e-r-a-t-e-l-y you can mostly avoid the problem. But that's not an
acceptable solution for the professor.

Microsoft says they are working on it, and IF they can find a fix it will be
at least two months before it would be available. "The workaround for the
time being is to change the screen resolution in the Set Up Slide Show window
to either 1024x768 or 800x600 depending on the device the presentation is
being displayed on."

Thanks for coming back and reporting the updated details on that ... it's bound to help
someone else out later.
