From: Pungolo_Fiero on 22 Mar 2007 18:17 Hey I was just having a general problem with random restarting of my machine and also it does not boot up properly every time I start it up. Sometimes it gets stuck at the initial load screen (the ABIT screen). I disabled the full screen windows logo in BIOS so now it gets stuck after 1. the mobo screen comes up with nothing under the small logo in the upper right of the screen or 2.it recognizes the main processor and doesn't do anything else. IT IS SO ANNOYING not having your PC start up after 5-10 restarts. Something is obviously wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated...my nerves can't take much more of this. Thanks all.

Run Memtest overnight if you can. If you get any errors you have memory problems. 2. Check capacitors on MB any that are swollen, distorted, or ruptured indicate a problem. Usually costs more to replace components than to purchase new MB. 3. Power supply problem, no easy way to trouble shoot, because problem is noise level out of power supply. If you would be fortunate enough to have access to a scope, you would be able to make solid diagnoses in a couple minutes otherwise it's remove and replace time.
