From: Arrow782001 on 18 Jan 2008 00:24 Hello All, I have a processor that I need to replace. It is for a Sony Vaio PCG-FRV26. Can I use a standard P4 processor, or will I need a laptop specific P4? If I need a certain type, what do I need to look for? Thanks
From: Barry Watzman on 18 Jan 2008 20:53 Almsot certainly you need a laptop specific CPU from the same family of CPUs as the original. It can take quite a bit (hours) of research on the Intel web site using the "sSpec" numbers to isolate what CPUs are good candidates.
