Hello All,
I have a processor that I need to replace. It is for a Sony Vaio
PCG-FRV26. Can I use a standard P4 processor, or will I need a laptop
specific P4? If I need a certain type, what do I need to look for?
Thanks

Almsot certainly you need a laptop specific CPU from the same family of
CPUs as the original. It can take quite a bit (hours) of research on
the Intel web site using the "sSpec" numbers to isolate what CPUs are
good candidates.

If you have to ask a question like that, then you probably shouldn't be the
one replacing it.
