I feel the same. IIRC v2 did have the 'already done it' option, and it
was removed in v3. Maybe they're trying to keep better track of people
upgrading??

may this should better read as
* register this version (or instance) now
* register this version (or instance) later
* don't register

so the idea is to register the product instances per user and not the
just the user. knowing if we have continuous users or how much user in
an heterogeneous environments might be a useful information,

Right, so the desired registration information is essentially a count of
the number of discrete installations. That makes sense and I think your
suggested textual change would be useful. For non-technical users the
term, "instance" might not be the best choice. Perhaps something like,
"Register this installed version"?

I'll now rush off to register the half-dozen copies I have presently. :-)

We had that fourth option in former times. I don't know why it was
removed. I guess because of a "better user experience". ;-)
