From: Beverly Howard [Ms-MVP/MobileDev] on 20 May 2008 16:10 Best suggestion is to install a "task manager" I use VBar and can't live without it... some features tiny icon shows both memory and battery levels "X" actually closes apps Menu allows; move directly to any open app close specific apps "Close All" option free <http://vieka.com/vbar.htm> Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices]

You might to try Magic Button which is a nice application to really close applications. Best of all it's free. From: ker_01 on 4 Jun 2008 09:29 I installed VBar on my Ipaq 2215 (and I think it is great to see battery on the home screen). I have noticed that suddenly the cleartype tuner (which allows you to alter the text display for readability) keeps coming up, without a close/minimize button. I can replicate it by: 0. Close all programs (using VBar, or go into memory settings and do it manually) 1. start/settings/system/power (which I was doing initially to verify the VBar display) 2. click 'OK' to close the power window 3. click 'OK' to close the settings folder boom, I have the cleartype tuner screen with no obvious way to exit. I eventually figured out that if I click to the right of the VBar titlebar display (where the 'OK' should be) it returns to the home screen. However, while that cleartype tuner screen is up, VBar indicates that no programs are running (no close/close all options; just settings or exit VBar). I also opened notes so I could use VBar's "close all" option, and that still didn't close out the Cleartype Tuner. Is this a known quirk, or perhaps is my PPC OS is too old for the current version of VBar? Google gave no love on this issue.
