In this context, ISAM and Indexed are interchangeable, even though
technically they are not... :-)

Hope you get things sorted with your system. I find XP to be excellent and
even better since installing SP3. I approached this update with fear and
trepidation expecting everything to fall apart... :-) (tribute to MS track
record...) To my surprise it installed effortlessly and NOTHING reacted to
it. I have NEVER had a BSOD or hang since running this machine. (It has 2GB
of main memory... Lack of memory and continual memory leakage seems to be a
frequent problem with MS apps.)

Since installing .NET and running apps that use it, I have had no problems.
I'm totally sold on the DotNET framework now. I won't be installing Vista
and will leapfrog to Windows 7 64 bit. If that turns out to be a dog, I'll
move to Linux.
