From: Ricky Hunt on 7 Apr 2008 16:25 Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but all the Reaper plugins are available as a free VST download pack: http://www.reaper.fm/reaplugs/ I've always liked the way plugs like ReaFIR work. Samplitude has the same kind of plugin. Very intuitive. -- Thanks, Ricky Hunt

It has parameters you won't find on most software compressors and it enables you to change the character of the compression over a wide range of flavors. Mmmm Mmmm Good. malachi "Ricky Hunt" <rhunt22(a)hotmail.com> wrote in message news:zqvKj.110178$yE1.40189(a)attbi_s21... > Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but all the Reaper plugins are > available as a free VST download pack: > > http://www.reaper.fm/reaplugs/ > > I've always liked the way plugs like ReaFIR work. I've used Samplitude's for a couple of years and it's very nice indeed... phase-linear and precise, easy to use (that is, the UI is simple, well laid out and fairly complete), and it makes creating a nearly perfect 120dB brick wall (among many other really handy items) a 5-second piece of cake. How's it sound? However you'd *like* it to sound, pretty much. :-) > "Ricky Hunt" <rhunt22(a)hotmail.com> wrote in message > news:zqvKj.110178$yE1.40189(a)attbi_s21... >> Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but all the Reaper plugins >> are available as a free VST download pack: >> >> http://www.reaper.fm/reaplugs/ >> >> I've always liked the way plugs like ReaFIR work. I can't believe the quality of the time stretch algorithm, it puts the one in PTLE to shame. It sounds absolutely natural and no artifacts unless you reeeeeeeely critically listen for them. |
