How to get Fedora 7 on regular CD's (Not DVD)
Hi all: I want to install Fedora 7 on my Dell server but it only has regular CD drives. Everywhere I looked I saw the media only available on DVD's. Is there a way for me to get it in CD format? like download the ISO and burn it? TIA. John ... 16 Sep 2007 14:48

bash problem & ssh problem
Hi I am using ssh to connect to other machine via local lan, it was very fast to prompt up the password input. But now, i need to wait 10 seconds to show up the password prompt. Why? usr & usr/local
Guys, Might be a dump question, but the directory size on these two directories are not independent of each other? I am manually partition them. Can I have usr directory smaller than usr/local directory? Logically, it shows user/local under usr directory. Thanks, tony ... 7 Sep 2007 07:13

VPNC unresponsive after two hours
Has anyone seen this before. I am running Fedora Core 6 and am using vpnc to connect to a Cisco ASA everything works fine for about two hours. The daemon is still running the tun0 interface is still set but connectivity stops. Any help would be appreciated. -Chris ... 6 Sep 2007 15:15

syslog problem
by default my EL4 box won't log properly via syslog :-( my syslogd is running and if I do /sbin/service syslog restart or indeed /etc/init.d/syslog restart the daemon does indeed stop and restart but still no logging and an empty /var/log/messages however if I do /sbin/service syslog stop but them manually ... 1 Sep 2007 08:11

Can I install via ISO on HD and no existing OS?
Hello, I was wondering if there is a way I can install Fedora by downloading an ISO to my pc and booting to it somehow. Or perhaps installing from windows onto a 2nd hd?
