I don't know about iPhoto, but the previos poster was right, Graphic Converter is the best image app for mac: http://lemkesoft.de/en/index.htm But someone recently told me there is already an app on OSX that does it: ColorSync Utility.app in the "Utilities" folder. I believe you can create a filter to save images with more jpeg compression for a smaller file. I think you can also resize the picture too. -- Gnarlie

When you save as JPEG there is a Quality slider that will give a file if you select low quality. If you are mailing the file, there is a size control at the bottom of the send page.

The other suggestions in this thread are also fine, but if you want a quick and painless pointy-clicky way w/o any additional steps, the iPhoto way is fine for sending snaps to friends. |
