From: Paul J Gans on 10 Apr 2008 22:25 I had a hard drive die on one of my machines. While I was using it too, which is a real bother. Luckily it was my home openSUSE installation. At work today I downloaded the Live CD version of 10.3 and tonight I installed a new hard drive and loaded the Live CD. The installation went very smoothly but the "update" process took a long long time. I wonder why openSUSE does not update the downloadable CD and DVD live versions every so often. It should not be too hard to do and it would make folks new to openSUSE (and the repos) much happier. -- --- Paul J. Gans |
