When I record a sound using a microphone, I am unable to find it to add to my
PowerPoint slides. Could someone please tell me where I can retrieve these
recordings from or how I can choose a file to save my recording to when I am
actually recording it.

Many thanks.

Hi gabob,

Are you using Sound Recorder to record the sound?

If so you'll probably find the file in "My Documents".

Note that Sound Recorder is not ideal software for any kind of serious audio
recording. You might want to try Audacity, which is free.

Cheers,
Geoff

if you open your presentation

go to the "file" menu and chose "save as HTML...."

follow all the prompts..... the FOLDER that you choose will be where
powerpoint will save a series of .WAV files.

These are the audio files of you narration.

If you want more control of your audio recording, i suggest you record them
in an audio editor package, then insert them into powerpoint

this is a good free one
