Yup!...Don't do it.

why cripple the whole machine just for the sake of Director?
I really think it is very bad that Adobe even suggest that you do. There own
documentation is very confused about the system requirements. And the reports
coming through from users don't back up the requirements either. Its a mess
frankly.

This is probably good advice. Is there any published advice on why director is not supported on 10.5 as it seems to run ok?
