From: richard2007 on 14 Apr 2008 11:22 I have two SATA hard drives, a SATA 1 SSD drive for booting and a SATA 3 Samsung drive for data on a P5KC mb. Is there any reason to use the JMicron controller? I am not running RAID and I do NOT have an eSATA drive? Is the performance difference in running on ICH9 neglible?

The ICH( is one of the better SATA controllers out there. I'd leave the JMicron controller alone if I were you, unless you really need it. -- Shaun.
From: BigJim on 16 Apr 2008 00:20 the jmicron driver is for configuring the ide port if your using all sata drives you don't use it. My drive, either SATA or hard drive would become inaccessible after the computer has been running for a few hours. Nero took over an hour to burn a single layer DVD on a SATA burner as well. I call it GayMicron. The ICH9 is very reliable IMHO.
