If the question relates to filtering algorithms, this is probably
the best place. That is true independent of the implementation.
Discussions on DSP hardware also do pretty well, though as far as
I understand it the title, comp.dsp, refers to signal processING,
not processORS. (Both commonly called DSP.)

Analog signal processing questions usually do pretty well, and
maybe analog interfacing, too. SPDIF doesn't seem to be
discussed much, though.

Sure. Sometimes it takes a bit od convincing that the besy platform for
a pet task is in fact a PC with a sound card.
