Canon LiDE 600F sudden failure
We've had the above scanner a few years, never a problem -- it's made nice quick PDFs (or occasionally othe rofrmats), whether from the UI or from the scanner buttons. Twain
Twain drivers for my Canon 8600F are unavailable in Windows XP. The scanner is identified but only as a WIA device. If I try to scan into Acrobat 710 the WIA interface appears .I hit scan and the GUI goes away with an error scanning stopped. Any ideas? TIA ... 19 Jun 2008 01:18
HP 5500c carriage won't move more than 2"

Sharpness in Tiff Scans
Tiff vs. JPEG has nothing to do with resolution (number of pixels). NOTHING. Nor, necessarily, with sharpness as long as you don't get carried away in the degree of compression in the JPEG format.
