From: Eric on 6 May 2008 11:50 Does anyone have any suggestions on seeing different shared drives between 2 PC on the same network? For example, 2 PCs are connected to a large network, on one PC, I can see 10 shared drives, but on the other PC, I only see 5 different shared drives. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any suggestions Eric
From: Anteaus on 6 May 2008 14:53 Basically you are on a hiding-to-nothing trying to get this kind of setup to work. Far better to put all the data on ONE computer, and make sure that's backed-up properly. If you must have shares on multiple computers, then consider installing a DNS server and registering the local computers on it. This may help considerably with host location. If you dont have a bona-fide server then MaraDNS is free, and will run on a workstation.
