From: academicweb on 7 Apr 2008 19:13 I'm making a web site where the homepage will have a series of photos that will play in random order. Can I do that in Fireworks or Dreamweaver CS3 or did I need to puchase Flash? The effect I'm talking about is something like what you see on this page: http://www.has.vcu.edu/wld/index.html. I will appreciate any leads you can give me. Thanks!

From: academicweb on 7 Apr 2008 21:21 Thanks for the reply. From what I can see, the slideshow option doesn't allow me to have the images only. I'm looking into the option in Dreamweaver of using timeline, but I don't know yet if it will work. If you have any ideas, let me know!

If not available, SWF'N Slide is a great alternative: <http://verticalmoon.com/products/swfnslide/swfnslidecommon.htm> -- Cheers Martin

Thanks, I may have to look into that. I just made the slideshow in Dreamweaver using the timeline feature, http://www.aas.vcu.edu/. It seems perfect, except that it only works in IE for me (not Mozilla or in Safari). Weird that it wouldn't be compatible across browsers. I guess I'll post this question over in the Dreamweaver section eventually, but does anyone know how to get the timeline feature to work in more browsers? |
