From: Jack Gillis on 10 Mar 2007 15:39 I have three machines on my LAN. A tower which dual boots FC6 and Windows XP and two other machines that run Windows XP. All are in the mshome work group. From Linux on the first machine I can work with the shares on the other two. I've not yet tried from the others to see if they can work with the Linux booted machine. That's the project for next week. In Windows terms, is there a way to put a 'My Network Places' folder on the desktop or in the Home folder for each user? I know I can put a copy of mshome from Places/Network Servers on the desktop and it will serve the purpose well but I would like to have it named something a little more descriptive. Maybe what I am asking is there a way to rename the desktop mshome to something else? Thank you.
