When I close Word 2003, I always get a message that tells me I have
encounterd a problem and Word needs to close. It has a check box that asks me
if I want to recover my work and restart Word. I deselect the box and close
the message box. THis message box is the standard box that asks you to send
information about your problem to Microsoft. How can I stop this from
occuring?

This is normal behaviour if Word crashes due to a fault condition. It
appears you have a fault condition and it is that you need to address. See
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm then
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProblemsStartingWord.htm which addresses
all the common causes of Word crashes.

There is no crash. This error message occurs every time I simply close the
application. It happens 100% of the time.

Of course there is a crash - that's what the error message is all about.
