User 'news' will not do cron job Hi, I am using Leafnode 2 on Slackware 12 and have a user 'news'. All is working well but for some reason news will not do the following cron jobs: 10 21 * * * /usr/sbin/texpire -vvv >/home/andrew/.texpirelog 2>&1 15 * * * * /usr/sbin/fetchnews -vvv >/home/andrew/.fetchnewslog 2>&1 But this works flawlessly... 23 Jan 2008 16:13

pthreads man pages Where are these guys, e.g. pthread_create? It looks like they were installed with glibc-2.3.6-i486-6 on Slack 11, but in Slack 12 and -current they're not there. jslaunch? I'm looking for an app that I can run on my "server" so that when a particular button on a joystick is pressed, I can run a shell command. Any ideas?
