Booting up - keeps telling me to run fsck ... Hello, Slackware 11.0 When I booted up earlier tonight, I noticed the screen said it was doing a 'check forced' . It made it through hdd1 ( / ) but had to make changes while checking hdd3 ( /home ). After it completed it recommended running fsck. hdparm and drive spindown Q I see hdparm -y or hdparm -Y can spindown my hard drive, but how do I query the drive to see if it's spinning without causing it to spin up? hdparm -S sets the timeout, is there something in /proc to see if the drive is spinning? Mount windows share on boot (fstab) Hi you all... I am mounting a windows share with this command " sudo mount -t cifs //"ip of the machine"/"share" /home/jcamez/D -o [user="user",password="password",uid=1000,noperm] and it mounts ok.
