From: keers on 1 Mar 2005 11:10 Hi, i am running Win xp with VPC 5.1 and I have installed Solaris 10 x86 (GA release) as a guest. Solaris is functioning correctly with the exception of the network - i cannot access my corporate network via VPN (wireless broadband) from the Solaris image. The setup is as follows; On Solaris: ip = 192.168.0.10 no default router specified On XP I have installed the MS Loopback adapter and it has an ip of 192.168.0.9 (a hint from another forum). My wireless router/modem has an ip of 192.168.0.5 and is providing DHCP addresses in the range of 192.168.0.2-4 (which allows me to connect two PC's to the coporate network. This all functions correctly. When i make the connection via VPN to the coporate network my machine gets a 10.x.x.x address, but i cannot make a connection from my Solaris VPC guest - the network setting for the guest is currently set to the loopback adapter (though i have tried all the other options at some point). At some point during the 'trial and error' process i could ping the loopback adapter from Solaris, though only if i was not connected to the coporate network and it was not consistant. is it possbile for my Solaris guest to connect to the coporate network and if so any advice posted would be gratefully received? -- Thanks Keers
