From: Bob Johnson on 13 Jan 2008 15:44 Hi Guys I installed Sonar 6 Producer on a new Vista Ultimate sysytem with my 2496 card and am having the same "what you hear" problem. The Vista software for the 2496 seems way different and I don't see the "mon mix" setting. Anyone using Vista/Sonar/2496? thx bob "Ricky Hunt" <rhunt22(a)hotmail.com> wrote in message news:wPwRi.159788$Fc.121651(a)attbi_s21... > "Bob Johnson" <me(a)getlost.com> wrote in message > news:T_GdnUjdAZd_-YzanZ2dnUVZ_jSdnZ2d(a)comcast.com... >> 1) Using the 2496 mixer/control panel, I can't control the input level >> into Sonar 6 no matter where I put the sliders or mute everything. I'll report back on it then. I have no problem with that on my XP computer with a 2496 card. I gave up on trying to use that FW410 on my Vista computer. M-Audio only has a beta driver for Vista and it's buggy as all get out. It keeps losing its Control Panel GUI. Every time that happened I had to uninstall it and reinstall it to get it back. It never did stay for over one day without that happening.
From: bob johnson on 13 Jan 2008 16:22 Hi Sam M-audio just released the vista drivers a few weeks ago and I'm curious to hear if others are having issues, too. If I hit the arm buton on a track, somtimes it arms, sometimes not. If I switch to console view, the armed track doesn't show as armed and doesn't respond to pushing the arm button. Frustrating. thx bob "sambodidley" <scoobydoo(a)looneyville.com> wrote in message news:db6ac$478a7be6$4b5bc69f$23114(a)ALLTEL.NET... > > "Bob Johnson" wrote >> Hi Guys >> >> I installed Sonar 6 Producer on a new Vista Ultimate sysytem with my 2496 >> card and am having the same "what you hear" problem. I wanted to wait until I could get some kind of audio card working properly first. The only audio program I have on it now is Sound Forge 9. That's what I was using when I was having that problem with the FW410. I'm going to wait for M-Audio to get some of the bugs out of that beta driver before I try that one again. If the 2496 works ok I'll probably never put the FW back on it. I have Sonar 5.2. I never upgraded to 6 or 7.
