number 1 for eq. I had to laugh when Rick brought up the similar melody
thing. We have a running joke in my church band about every CCM or Praise
and Worship song having the same chord progression.

I V vi IV this song has it too. Makes for a lot of repitition in
melodies. :)

At one point that song was pretty much dominating the radio airwaves (and
MTV "videowaves" for that matter), so I think pretty much anyone who was
listening to commercial (pop/top 40/AC) radio at that time probably still
has it stuck in their brains. ;-)

I'm a newcomer to the group but thought it might not be too intrusive
to offer an opinion. After all, it is just my opinion. :-)

I like them both. They're different but I find it difficult to say
that I like one better than the other. I like cocker spaniel puppies
and I also like "55" Studebakers but they're also different.

I'm very impressed with the song, the performance, the mix, the whole
package. I like it. If I had a gun to my head I guess I'd say no 1.

There are some very talented people in this group. So far, I've
listened to some of Glenbo's stuff (very prolific) and Rick Paul's.
I've enjoyed and been impressed by both.

I like #1 best. I would prolly like #2 if I hadn't already heard #1.
