From: Carl on 20 Jan 2008 15:02 I have a sony Vaio FS 970. It is 2 years old. My "seven" key is missing and I can only make it work by pusing *very* hard on the small plunger that is underneath the missing key. Can I program one of the function keys to become a "seven" key? If so, that will be a lot cheaper than replacing the keyboard. Thanks. Carl
From: Barry Watzman on 21 Jan 2008 20:43 It could be done, but it's WAY above end-user level activity. You might find a free utility to reassign keyboard keys somewhere. I found a utility that remaps keyboard keys called Key Remapper from Softarium and it works great. I remapped my missing "seven" key to F8. Now I can type "F8" and get 777777777. Whoopeee!
