From: Mark Conrad on 21 Jun 2008 15:50 This post ONLY to Mac users of Boot Camp, who might want to take advantage of this half price opportunity. Reduced price ONLY applies to orders placed on or before June 30, 2008 866-977-3324 Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional 9.0 (NOT 9.5 - - - will run on Windows XP but NOT on Windows Vista) List Price $899.99 Special Price $439.00 Details: Offer is valid in the United States and Canada only. This special offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Nuance has the right to limit quantities and a No Returns policy applies. Offer expires June 30, 2008. (Monday) So what does this all mean in practical terms? ********************************************* It is a good deal for Mac Boot Camp users who already have Windows XP installed, and who want to use the very best speech recognition software available for personal computers, PC _or_ Mac. Nuance realizes that their unsold stock of version 9.0 will be worthless when Windows XP can no longer be bought in retail stores, so is dumping that unsold stock off with this half-price offer. There is very little doubt that they will sell the remaining Dragon 9.0 stock off quickly. Phone number for placing orders, 866-977-3324 I just might place a few orders there myself, _provided_ that I can still pick up some remaining boxed versions of Windows XP at places like Best Buy, or Office Depot. Beware! - those XP disks _have_ to include both SP1 and SP2 integrated into the install disk. I just phoned my local Office Depot store and they have two remaining boxed versions of XP Pro full-version in stock, price $300 each. My Office Depot does not know if they will be able to get boxed versions of Windows XP in the future, after they sell their two remaining packages. Beware! - About Boot Camp, I have not been able to get my always-on DSL wideband connection modem device to work with either Windows XP or Windows Vista; I am limited to using a slow dial-up connection. My DSL always-on device works fine on real PC hardware, with both XP and Vista. Mark-

It would not make any sense for them to offer version 9.5 on special half-price, because they can still get top dollar for that newer version. Mark-
