Is there an option that turns on or off the automatic update feature
in FC6 during installation. I would like to know if there is one and how to
properly set it up at installation time. This would save me alot of time and
trouble with the install. I would like to update the rpm packages later
after modem setup. Any assistance is appreciated.

For Gnome desktop

System > Administration > Services

uncheck yum-updatesd then click save.

next reboot it will not run
