Confused with SATA
If I don't install SATA (AHCI) or RAID drivers during the O/S installation (by pressing F6), does it mean that my SATA controllers perform at a lower speed?!? Situation: 2 PCs running XP SP2 (one built with a Bad Axe 2 motherboard and the other with a Bad Axe). I knew not much about AHCI (didn't plan to RAID ... 1 Feb 2008 00:48

Should I format my USB stick with NTFS or FAT32 if using onlywith Win ?
Use NTSF if you want, you would only have an issue with "other" operating systems. BTW the microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support group is for discussion of issues involving Windows "Help and Support" "as in "Start", "Help and Support" Joe deAngelo wrote: Should I format my USB stick with FAT32 ... 16 Jan 2008 08:38

Drive not visible because of FAT32 instead of NTFS ?
All my partitions are NTFS formatted but a new USB stick is FAT32 formatted. So the USB stick is not visible in WinExplorer. Yes, it is visible in COmputer Management and Device Manager and can be accessed through Command prompt. So the only reason I can see so far is the FAT32 format. Can this be the reason ... 15 Jan 2008 20:25
Driver for Intel 82801GB SATA Controller?
I recently upgraded my system with an Intel Bad Axe 2 motherboard, running XP SP2. The device manager shows an Intel 82801GB SATA Controller with an Intel driver. USB Stick does not appear in WinExplorer as drive: How to show/enable drive letter?
I bought a new USB stick with 4GB and plugged it into a free USB slot on my motherboard. In contrast to other USB sticks the new drive (letter) does not appear in WinExplorer (under WinXP) even not after a couple of "refreshes". However on other WinXP computers the drive letter appears without problems. Further... 15 Jan 2008 20:25
