3-high SATA disk enclosures; Any comments ? I'm looking at these disk enclosures and trying to decide which to get. I like big fans but I've heard complaints that the ICY fan (80MM) is loud. keeping drives cool in a MicroATX case Hi All, I have recently added a second SATA HDD to my Linux workstation, which is housed in a very standard microATX case. The processor is a low-power Athlon X2 and stays at a reasonable 35-37°C with stock heatsink and fan. I noticed that the HDDs are pretty hot, 44 for the older one (root partition) and 42... 1 Oct 2008 19:21
copying files off of SATA Laptop Drive My son's Dell Studio 17 won't boot after a recent vista upgrade. the suggestion is to use the recovery dvd, which will wipe out his data files (no, he did not back them up..different topic). It appears to be a s/w issue not a hardware defect issue. I see from Dells' website that the studios use SATA drives. So m... 23 Sep 2008 13:53
