Well, so far so good, I actually had the install get all the way to
selecting software etc..then I actually get to the good stuff..where it
partitions the drive and it failed with:

Storage Modification failed
System error code was: -1007

Failure occured during the following action:
Creating partition /dev/hda3

I believe that is the swap space off the top of my head. Any reason as to
why it would not work?

This is on a IMac 350mhz, 9 gig hd, SuSE 10.0

This is a macintosh Alex, parted is not yet able to partition ppc disks,I
prepared ppc partitions with ubuntu and then mounted them during suse
install, but not swap.Anyway after the install process you will have swap
enabled in fstab.

aahh, correct.. I booted into debian, paritioned then rebooted back into
SuSE...working great now.
