From: Pat S on 3 Jul 2008 11:28 When I open a document created in Word 2003 in Word 2007 compatability mode everything is fine. If I save it as a .docx file, then the headers and footers sometimes completely disappear. The header contains graphics (.gif) files and the footer contains text. Although, my suspicion is that it has something to do with the graphics, I posted this question in the Drawing & Graphics group & didn't get an answer so am trying here. Thanks,

Does this happen with one particular document or can you reproduce it in any document (with the same header contents)? -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Pat S" wrote: > When I open a document created in Word 2003 in Word 2007 compatability mode > everything is fine.
