Is it possible to copy Suse 10 to two separate DVD's
without killing/corrupting install files?

It is possible, but with some work that will prepare files that would go to
DVD1 that tell yast how many media has to expect and where rpm files are
located. This site describes the opposite how to move 5 CDs to 1 DVD, but
it can give you idea what has to be done:
http://www.opensuse.org/Making_a_DVD_from_CDs

There is more links that may help you.

Yes, and it will take some work. The easiest would be
http://www.opensuse.org/1_CD_install#How_to_create_your_own_1_CD_install
Insteaqd of 1 CD you make 1 DVD.
Next you put all the packages that are left in a directory and you
either use `createrepo` or `create_package_descr` to be able to add the
rest as an instalation source. The firast is the easiest way, as you
only need the rpm files.

As a bonus fun fact: you can add things like MPlayer, libdvdcss2 and
anything you can put in an RPM in there, If you want, you can even make
a third DVD will all your mp3's in an rpm file so you can install it
that way (or your homepage, or whatever). A local website can also be a
good idea. Well any file on you PC can be put in an rpm file wich then
can be installed by YaST using createrepo or create_package_descr.

The easiest way is just to find somebody who owns a dualwriter and copy
it and/or just put your DVD on the HD and use that as an installation
source.

You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of
sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of
imagination. Next stop, Usenet

Rajko and Houghi thanks for the advice on my question.
Think I'll go the easy way and install from HD through a separate
partition.

Thanks once more.
