Problem with more than 15 parts. in 10.3 I recently installed 10.3 onto my "A" drive, which has more than 24 used partitions. In order to try to access some of the ones beyond 15, I followed the directions provided in the Release Notes, and added hwprobe=-modules.pata to my kernel boot line in my Grub menu file. partitions on a suse 10.2 installation.... I have a 80Gb ATA 33 as my primary master disk. There are two partitions on it - an hda7 20gb with some files including vsftpd on it and a hda6 13gb partition with the program files in it. Why? 9.3 was Reiser; 10.3 is Ext3 I am just now upgrading from SuSE 9.3 to SuSE 10.3. My choice has been to buy the Retail packages. In 9.3, the recommended file system was Reiser. Ext3 was also available. Now in 10.3 the recomended file systen is ext3. My question is WHY? Is this just "choose a flavor" or have there been problems with the... 20 Jan 2008 10:47
Installation with a wireless NIC Got a couple of questions: 1: Back in the day (9.0 era IIRC) if you had a wireless and an onboard NIC one would lose connectivity to the network if you were using the wireless because it was usually eth1 and the system would try to use eth0 for the default gateway even if it was unconfigured. using raid 0 Hello, I have a box suse 10.2 64bits and it is working fine but I'm running out of space. It has 2 disks of 300GB in Raid 0 (script) and I'm thinking of putting another disk of 300Gb or even 500GB disk. How can I add this disk to the system md0 and make that raid bigger??
