Three monitors
After installing openSUSE 10.3 and not getting everything working exactly right using nvidia-settings, I made some minor tweaks to xorg.conf to get a two-card four-screen layout working. nvidia-settings could get no closer than a 2x2 layout (seems it would not enable Xinerama). Here's the xorg.conf: Section "S... 1 Feb 2008 20:53
Suse 10.3, Gnome
Well, I've just finished installing and tinkering with openSUSE 10.2, onto my daughter's 5 yr. old pc. I put an old IDE 40G HD, memory mod, video card, quiet fans, and CDRW/DVDRW drive in, and installed SUSE. I'm amazed at how well it runs, and I'm amazed at SUSE. I tried to install three other distros and all ... 1 Feb 2008 21:25
Is Samba in 10.3 working for you?
Since nobody is tackling my preceeding post, I ask if anyone has set up samba server and client and has been able to connect with a windows 2000 computer? Win 2000 can see SuSE and its shares, but using the KDE GUI, it sees the computers but refuses to go beyond to the shares they offer. Between win2000 comp... 2 Feb 2008 00:43

Hi, My wired/wireless router is a ZIO-wlb5054aip and I just bought an EDUP usb dongle for my laptop and their wireless pci card for my desktop to go with it. krdc remote desktop not working any more
I wonder if I'm the only one who has problems with the kdrc remote desktop software since the latest kde updates on openSuSE 10.2. Rdesktop still works, but any attempt to connect to one of the Windows PCs with krdc fails. Sorry for not giving a more detailed description. kdenetwork3-vnc-3.5.5-29 kdelibs3-3.5.5-... 1 Feb 2008 00:42
Wireless card doesn't work after kernel update on openSUSE 10.3
It happened just few minutes before. The auto update prompted me for new kernel update. After install, rebooted the system as prompted and then I lost the network connectivity. Here is my system information: 1) OpenSUSE 10.3 (installed on Intel P4 PC) 2) Current kernel version (through uname -a command): 2.6.22... 1 Feb 2008 06:50
