Sonar 5&6 PE, Any way to import an mp3 or wave and record a midi track and
drum track in sync?
I tried a few times and it didn't work
Thanks

Hey GB,
Actually, I am going to cheat a bit. I want to sequence the bass and drum
parts to a Robertb Cray song. Be simple if I could (record) play along in
time in sonar
Dumb I guess.And Lazy!

Analyze the audio to find the peaks. Process/Extract Timing will help
you create a midi track of events that match key points in the audio.
From this you should be able to construct a reasonably accurate set of
measures. It does take some work but can be done. Keep in mind that
you have to manage the latency properly.

Other choice is, using low-latency playback, to just play your new
tracks along with the old one. You know, like multitrack
recording with real musicians :-)

AudioSnap might help. This is what it is designed for.
