From: walter on 1 Feb 2008 07:25 Thanks all for the help and advice. Turned out that when loading the multi-timbral soft synth, I have to create tracks for 'all synth audio outputs', not '1st synth audio output'. Then clone the one MIDI track seven times, assign a different channel to each..........voila! Now I have one master audio track, but can mix the eight individual MIDI tracks feeding into that with the volume controls, etc., on the individual MIDI tracks themselves. Something like that...... I'm sooooo confused. Bottom line - it's working. The weird thing is (you know there ALWAYS has to be a weird thing) is that when I loaded the soft synth with just '1st synth audio out' the velocity parameter from the individual MIDI tracks worked, but not the volume parameter. Gotta dust off my Tascam TSR 8. I'm serious.......... Anyhow............ all's well that...... Thanks again guys............... Walter

I don't recall if you mentioned, what softsynth are you using? -- Sue Morton walter wrote: > Thanks all for the help and advice. Something like that...... I'm sooooo confused. Me too<g> I'm confused why you have just "one master audio track"? If you created tracks for "all synth audio outputs", you should have one audio(softsynth) track for every 'out' of your softsynth. Poly
From: Iplayjazz on 1 Feb 2008 10:30 Agreed Poly................Walter, once you get the track setup exactly as you want it, SAVE it as a TEMPLATE. Then you can start any new project with all of that done already. alan
