HP tc4400 with a VISTA upgrade

it may not be an update that it causing the issue at this point. try running "sfc /scannow". that command should fix any currupt issues. however the operating system CD or DVD may be required while this command is running. good luck with using windows file protection to fix this. i had a similar issue and it fixed ... 8 Feb 2008 14:36

Loosing SD Slot on T4515
I _think_ this is related to using hibernation. The SD (Media card) slot disappears sometime after rebooting... i.e. it's there when I reboot, but somewhere down the line, the slot disappears from file explorer.
