From: DeeEss on 20 Apr 2008 12:34 My client is getting the following error on a projector we just upgraded from Director MX to D11: "Director Player Error. The application requires an Xtra (Text) that either does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Please make sure the appropriate Xtras are in the Xtra folder(s)." I don't get the error on my machine so it's really baffling and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it. The Xtras folder is external, and I've confirmed that the TextXtra, TextAsset, FontAsset and FontXtra are all in the folder. Any ideas?
From: wherold on 20 Apr 2008 19:09 did you alse the xtras folder of the application, or are the D10 xtras inside ? Wolfgang
From: DeeEss on 20 Apr 2008 19:49 UGH! Thats probably it! (I haven't updated a project in a loooooong time.) Not sure why I wouldn't get the error as well, if that's the problem, but I'll definitely try this.
From: DeeEss on 21 Apr 2008 11:18 Just wanted to confirm that updating the Xtras in the Xtras folder fixed the problem. Still not sure why it only happened to my client and not me. But it works. Thanks!
