I've been having this problem for a while now. I even bought a new printer
and a new box of labels! I've changed the margin set up and even used a
graphics program and the problem is still the same. I'm using Word 2000.

When I print labels, the text starts out on the top row too high on the
label. So I adjusted the top margin and then the first several rows starting
printing "ok".
Then, further on down the page, the printing starts shifting upwards,
printing in between labels, so out of a sheet of 30 (or 80), I might have 10
that are good.
I mostly use a name brand label and usually only use the 1/2" x 1 3/4"
(8167) or the 1" x 2 5/8" (8460/5160) labels.

I hope I explained this to where it can be understood and I hope someone can
help!

In the Zoom section of the File>Print dialog, make sure that No Scaling is
selected is the Scale to paper size control.

I checked and it does already have "no scaling".
I didn't think to post as to what my margins are set: top - .6, bottom -
..24, left/right - .3, gutter 0, header/footer - .5.
I've done the labels in Printmaster, in Word, worked with Avery Wizard,
bought a new box of labels, bought another printer (needed another one
anyway), emailed Avery, asked in a newsgroup - I'm out of ideas!
Is there anything else I should be checking?

Do they print the same on plain paper? Sometimes the issue is with the
printer's ability to handle the label stock. Another issue is that, if there
is an empty paragraph in the header of Normal.dot, this can throw label
alignment off, though that shouldn't affect a page with 0.6" top margin.

Suzanne, thanks for the response. Yes, it does it on plain paper, too. I
thought maybe it was the feeding process on the labels, but like I said, I
even bought a new printer AND new labels! So with that, I'm thinking it must
be something in the settings...
After my last post, I had read that the header/footer should be 0. I changed
my settings to that and it turned out a *little* better.
What SHOULD the margin settings be? Or is there a set number?
