Thanks for letting me know that the dns at least works. I will go into the bedroom the first chance that I get and allow the incoming ports to be routed to PORT 23. You log in to the router's web interface (sometimes found at http://192.168.0.1 but could be elsewhere) and click though the options. It might be at "Advanced" somewhere.
