First and foremost, if you're working with PCBs, you need something with a
tip fine enough, and with a body that's small and controllable enough to put
the solder where you want it, and not where you don't. This probably rules
that gun-type device at a stroke.

Beyond that, are you going too be doing some occasional tinkering, or
working regularly? If the former, a nice simple pen-shaped mains iron rated
anywhere between 15 and 25 watts will do you fine. If you can get hold of
something like an Antex XS or CS, that will do you fine for most general
work and you'll also have the ability to change the tip to cope with
different types of work.

If on the other hand you're going to be working regularly, it's worth
spending some money on a proper temp controllable soldering station -
especially if you're going to be working with lead-free solder.
