I Agree With Art. I have a few sugestions that i advise people with this problem. First you need to diagnose and figure out if its the Power supply the jack or a more serious issue: Check the website out below for loads of help on the Powerjack issue and Diagnostics etc. He Does Service Manuals (Very Cheap), The actual repair (Very Very Cheap), Powerjacks and a Really good Laptop Repair Tutorial DVD Video that covers the repair of the Powerjack on almost all models (Highly Recomended) Loads of tips and tricks and Diagnosis pages.
