From: jeremy.oudit on 12 Jan 2006 12:05 Any one know how I can add the trademark character and the registered trademark character to a text box? I've tried several different ways using ™ or U#2122 neither seem to work... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

In Windows, hold down Alt, then type the following in sequence: 0153 (tm) and 0174 (r). David stiller (at) quip (dot) net "Luck is the residue of good design."

On my machine, at least, this requires the keypad numbers (to the right of the keyboard), not the numbers along the top. David stiller (at) quip (dot) net "Luck is the residue of good design."
From: jeremy.oudit on 12 Jan 2006 17:22 I guess I wan't clear in my first post... I can get the symbol to display properly when it is coded directly into Action script, but not if I put it into an external text file that gets loaded dynamically. ... Has anyone encountered this before? Here's another one... for some reason the text box refuses to display a capital J

Has anyone encountered this before? Odd. Especially if it does show when supplied via ActionScript. Have you embedded the font outlines for these characters? > Here's another one... for some reason the text box refuses > to display a capital J This is starting to get a bit weird. Are you using an usual font? David stiller (at) quip (dot) net "Luck is the residue of good design."
